Competitions – The Group offers monthly competitions (February to November) for digital images in Set Subjects, Monochrome, Open and Creative photography. Competitions are run in Divisions, allowing participants to compete in similar skill levels.
Our competitions are judged by qualified photographic Society of Queensland judges, who give valuable advice to assist members in improving their skills.
The group also participates in Inter-Club competitions on a regular basis.
Learning & Development – We have an experienced L&D team, who present educational material for beginner, intermediate & advanced level photographers.
This material may consist of a mixture of video presentations, practical demonstrations and open discussions where encouragement and support is provided.
Presentations may also be given by guest speakers and professionals within the industry.
Social Activities & Field Events – We enjoy organised outings in and around Townsville and further abroad.
These outings provide members the opportunity to expand their portfolios in an environment that is supportive and inclusive. These excursions also allow members to building lasting relationships with photographers who have similar interests.
